Research Assistant vacancy

The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), as part of the inter-disciplinary research project “When Experts Disagree” funded by the Irish Research Council (see http://wexd.eu), wishes to appoint a Research Assistant (RA) to work with the joint Principal Investigators (PIs) Professors Maria Baghramian (American Philosophy, UCD) and Luke Drury (Astrophysics, DIAS). The RA will assist the two PIs in running the project and engage in related research activities including personal research where this complements and enhances the overall project. The person appointed must have good organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with both natural scientists and philosophers of science. An appropriate postgraduate qualification is a requirement for this position.

The position is available immediately and will run for 18 months. The salary is €25,712 per annum inclusive of employer PRSI and pension contributions and the standard Irish public sector employment regulations apply.
